For the love of fairy kei

about a week ago Gabi posted u an article about how she was sick of seeing all the AP clones. As you know sometimes people have opposing views. This is such a case.

I'm absolutely SICK of seeing people complain about AP clones. I'll say it right now. I couldn't care less that it isn't rococo or victorian ITS LOLITA. Lolita isn't historical costues it's a style in it of itself Do you REALLY think that the Victorians wore lack dresses with crosses or flower print every day? HELL NO. They wore simple floor length dresses in plain colors with minimal accesories (if you wore more than 2 things that would be pretty vulgar) NOT LOLITA.

And i'll say this right now: Gothic-classic is lovely but its had it's run (a long 20+year one at that) Lolita is a fashion. Fashions have trends and right now GOTHIC ISN'T IN STYLE. I'm sorry, its the truth. sweet is just more popular at the moment.

I think its absolutely ridic to say that sweets are silly looking. Three words: LOOK AT YOURSELF, multiple petticoats, ruffles upon ruffles, ect. Quite frankly WE'RE ALL SILLY LOOKING SO STOP LOOKING DOWN ON THE CLONES. It's stupid to criticize someone because of what they wear (sound familiar girlies?) When you start saying a lolita looks stupid/too ruffly/too bright/too childish who do you sound like? The people who give lolitas constant criticism for what they wear Sweet lolitas already get more slack when they go out in public that gothics/classics, why do we need to get it from them as well? Lolita is childish and whats more childish than bunnies/fawns/cakes/ect? Its what little girls fantasize about! Overdecoration is what lolita's all about! Its arguably the most innocent, elegant style of all

LOLITA ISNT ALL ROCOCO/VICTORIAN. I will say this again and again It's silhouette is %100 fifties but no one gives the 50's a shred of credit (The fifties had a never ending list of lovely classic things) THE 80's or where lolita's got their headbows. The 90's or when gothic THRIVED in both lolita and mainstream fashion (Madona much?) The 90's gave Gothics their lace gloves/jewelry/ect. Look at this and you tell me whats more gothic-loli: this or this? Arguably the goths were inspired by victoriana but as you can tell they are VERY DIFFERENT.The 80's are when the wonderful world of pretty very fairy kei loli colors were born and now thrive.

TD:RL: LOLITA:ITS GONNA BE VERY SPANK! FOR QUITE SOME TIME. Live with it biotches :D

How many lolitas like kicking some ass? (G)

So...I've been dying to know...

How many of you lolis out there play MMORPGs? You know, the nerdy sword fighting game where you go kill monsters and stuff.

Haha well...I'm supposing that not many do :P But...I play this game right here in the picture. It is epic, it's called Mabinogi and I think its the best MMORPG I've tryed in all of my nerdy gaming career. I mean really, you can be anything. If you like music you can use Mabinogi's (mabi for short) music composing app to make music, you can even make covers of you're favorite loli music :D. If you like cooking, they have a unique system set up for cooking using fractions and ovens and shiz (I myself cook, its tedious opening up Gordon's secret shop to get the advancement books though =\). You can even make clothes too. Heck, you can make potions, weave, blacksmith, anything your nerdy minds can imagine. Of course, you can choose to skip all that production and just go straight to kickin' some monster butt.

If by chance anyone reading this already plays the game, my main is in the mari server and my username is rabbitgirl1, tell me you found me through this post :D

I could honestly rant on and on about things that won't make sense to everyone out there who doesnt play the game (for example, how I'm struggling to raise 30k from repeating rabbie dungeon to get 30 elemental removers to get an egoed gladius :P) but since no one will understand what I'm saying, I'll skip right to the point.

Where does this fit into loli?

Actually, to be honest, it doesn't fit into loli that much :P I just wanted to reccomend a nice game to all my loli MMORPG buddies out there. But i suppose some of the clothes they have available are pretty loli-able.

Actually, I'm saving up money to get me a bit of a loli wardrobe (Ima have to get more pets to fit them all in though) of course, theres no Victorian Maiden in the game but, there are lots of nice knee-length poofy dresses that are pretty darn close to loli (for example, a non playing character, fleta, she has a really cute, definetly loli-able outfit, I want it D:) But it'll be a long time and I'll need lots of money to build it up (just like in real life)

It is a really interesting game though, If you get tired of killing monsters or tired of making food/music/clothes/whatever then they have generation quests and regular quests to keep you busy. Of course, making lots of friends that enjoy the fashion you do make it even more fun! The generation quests are like a book you can't put down, the plot is interesting and thickens the deeper you get into it and there are many sweet side quests that will make you smile (there was one, with a mermaid who everyone kept throwing stones at her, she thought it was because she was ugly. So she asks you to go around and ask people what their ideal type of person is. Then in the end, when you gather them all, she asks you to ask a specific person about his ideal. You ask him, then he mentions a beautiful mermaid he once saw, so you tell the mermaid this, she wants to know why he threw rocks at her, he says that he can't put into words exactly why...so he makes a song, it definetly made me go 'awww'. He says in the song that she was extremly beautiful and he was so shy and didn't want to say anything because he was shy. So he threw rocks at her to cover up how he felt. Sweet right? A bit biazzare mainly because i can't explain it well, but it was sweet :D)

This is a pretty short post but I felt like reccomending a game to whoever wanted to try it, it is extremly easy to follow, when you first join the game they give you clear directions on how the game works, then your friends can show you all the tips and tricks.

Is everything I know wrong? D: (G)

Hi everyone,

Recently, to be blunt, I realized that all it really is in Lolita now a days are people like this:

-refreshs ap homepage- MUST GET THE NEW AP DRESS WHEN IT COMES IN STOCK OR I WILL DIE

OMG WANNA TWIN IN AP?

I LOVE THIS NEW AP DRESS

LOL MILKY CHAN!

OMG SUGARY CARNIVAL

MELTY CHOCOLATE IS TO DIE FOR!

See a pattern going on (and yes, caps was necessary :P)? All it is now is Angelic Pretty. It makes me sad. I mean, by no means is there actually something wrong with it but...I feel alone. I really feel that im one of the 10 gothic lolitas out of the 12,000+ lolitas out there (of course, 10 is an exageration). See i noticed that people are starting to slowly branch out of the lolita aesthetic, after all, it is based on victorian/rococo little children's clothing. Sadly, victorian/rococo kids did not actually wear things perhaps the way we do now but, emphasis on based. Do you really think that kids in the victorian/rococo would wear pink, red, candies, ruffles, lace (okay, you got me, im pretty sure they wore alot of lace :P) and friggin deer on their dresses? I doubt it.

I really miss lolita when it was just starting out, all it was was A-lines in dark colors with a frilly white yoke. Now a days, even on Mary Magdalene or Victorian Maiden you can not find that stuff, it's like ancient now or something.

I know what all you AP lovers are going to say: 'if you don't like AP, don't look, gosh.' Well first of all, no matter where i turn in the lolita communities...there is AP o-o. I like AP (never in my life would i ever wear it and actually feel comfortable in it though xD) but...that's all lolita is now a days D: If you go up to a random person and ask what lolita is, you'll get 1 of 4 options

1. What's lolita? The book you mean?

2. Oh you mean those chicks who dress like little girls to attract men? (i hope no one will ever be given this answer D:)

3. Oh well, gothic lolita is lots and lots and lots and lots of black, short skirts, sexy looking shirts, and looots of black. (Admitdly, this is the opinion of most anime fans who dont know about lolita)

4. Oh you mean those girls who always dress in pink and red with giant poofy skirts and candies on their dresses?

It's a bit sad. I personally try to keep my lolita toned down, but its sometimes fun to go overboard but i know that im going overboard, and in my opinion overboard is jumping over the boundary of what little kids would wear =\.

Now if you wear AP or something 'over the boundary' I'm not gonna automatically hate you and troll you or anything, in fact i most likely won't think much of it but i just wish it was back to the old days D:

Although I'm complaining about all this, it makes me feel kinda special in the fact that i stand out ('cause irl i really don't xD) but at the same time i feel bad because i don't necessarily 'fit in' either. Like I'm afraid a group of AP-holics are going to exclude me in their tea parties if I wear h-naoto or something(not that there are any lolitas where I live to begin with =\). Maybe I'm paranoid? Hm...

Anyway, pointless rant that is pointless is over :3

also, why are most itas anime fans attemping goffik rorita? (engrish is necessary)

Chao, Gabi

p.s. un lolita related but how many of you love len's dress in imitation black? Not really lolita but it's still awesome xD (although in fate:rebirth there's much more lolita influence in his outfit o3o)
